JHA Employment, Training Program Celebrates new Graduates
The Johnstown Housing Authority’s Employment and Training Program celebrated 8 graduates of the program’s 2nd mate who went into a brand-new stage of life Friday.

For the past four months, those enrolled in the program finished courses supplied by a partnership among Penn Highlands, Johnstown Area Regional Industries and PA CareerLink.
The program consisted of courses provided at Johnstown public real estate neighborhood rooms to remove individuals’ transportation barriers.
The curriculum included conflict management, job search and interview skills, Microsoft Word and Excel, and life abilities management, along with sightseeing tour for a robotics bootcamp and tours of technology-based production companies including Kitron and Compass Systems.
The ceremony Friday celebrated the eight graduates of the program while acknowledging lots more who enrolled, but chose out after finding employment or other more education opportunities along the way.
